Colby O'Donis -      young, handsome singer, songwriter, musician, producer, dancer         all-around entertainer - perhaps      child prodigy who didn't get his break into        big league until now.

At        age       19         signed       Akon's KonLive label, Colby      generating      great deal       excitement          club DJs, on        radio         internet          his first single, "What You Got" featuring Akon, taken from his debut titled, Colby O. He      already      hit on        road--performing       packed club venues      Southern California,        Bay Area, Bakersfield, Las Vegas, Detroit,         San Jose, Calif. (where he recently performed to      for- women-only audience); while        single has already broken at stations such as        venerable KPWR-FM [Power 106]      Los Angeles.

Born      New York City       Puerto Rican parents, Colby spent      great deal       time during his childhood living      Orlando, Florida--arguably        country's haven        breaking teen artists. By        age       9, he was already working          Platinum producers Full Force [Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync] who shopped his demos to      circuit       record labels,         produced his song, "Mouse in        House," featured on        Stuart Little soundtrack.

The initial persistence didn't quite evolve into        expected success, but that didn't stop Colby from continuing down his desired path. Both he         his family were committed       making this dream happen. "I remember how hungry I was back        n,         I'm even hungrier today," states Colby. "I'm so thankful       have such supportive parents       well as      sister who helped       pay        my guitar lessons, which is      big part       what I do."

Colby's formal music training with        guitar under        tutelage       Johan Oiested,      player      Carlos Santana's rhythm section, has transformed him into      virtual musical threat. He's also learned       play        piano,         is      true showman who has strengthened his dancing         stage presentation,         had one-time even considered signing      recording deal          singer-songwriter Babyface--until      career-altering meeting          Akon occurred. Akon was immediately impressed with        young prodigy, and        rest as        y say      history in        making.

Colby has been producing music since        age       12, further allowing his collaborations          Akon       stand out more. His debut album has pretty much been      self-contained effort, with        lion's share       writing         production done primarily between him         Akon. "We've recorded so many songs        this project--maybe forty or so--it was hard       get it down to      manageable number," says Colby. "The writing process has been so much fun,         it has been great working          Akon. On        real, he is      very humble guy."

Together        pair has created      collection       songs that Akon says        "beyond definition...we        doing whatever      hot," says Akon. "Colby      my secret weapon." Listeners will find those words       ring true after checking out such guaranteed smashes like "Sophisticated Bad Girl,"         "Don't Turn Back." Colby would say, though, that        music has elements       R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, even Latin guitar flavors. "My shows will include all of        se styles," says Colby. "Performing         entertaining      what I live for. I want       be able       show        fans that I'm      `real' musician       well as      singer         dancer. "

Colby will get that chance sooner than later--with artists such       Michael Jackson, Usher         Justin Timberlake cited       some       his idols, audiences        hungry for      fresh talent who can take up        mantle       those aforementioned superstars.
